Would
you like a free hair cut?
Do
you enjoy being bound?
Are
you down with dissonant sound collage?
Maybe
you just like to watch?
Then
please join us for Electric Chaircut,
an interactive, electro-sonic haircut performance by Nelson Loskamp. An artist
and stylist who has done that rare thing of mixing his day job and studio
practice, Loskamp
will
be offering haircuts in the gallery Saturday July 27, from 1-5 pm. The
California-based artist has been performing Electric Chaircut since the early
1990s, and has appeared all over the country in galleries, public parks and
music festivals. There will be refreshment, and an opportunity to take in the
current show, Death Row Picnic, featuring lead sculptures of Last Supper Food
Trays by Richard Kamler and a life-size electric chair sculpture with lethal
current by Philip Zimmerman.
